    •  A rash guard, which is a tight-fitting shirt that protects your skin from abrasions and infections. You can wear it under your gi or by itself for no-gi classes.


    •  An optional mouth guard, which is a device that protects your teeth and gums from injuries.


    •  A water bottle, which is essential to keep yourself hydrated during training.

  • How do I join Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes?

    To join Brazilian Jiu JItsu classes, you need to find a reputable academy near you. Luckily you've come to the right place at Anaconda Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since we teach from Master Machado himself. Otherwise, you can search online, ask for recommendations, or visit different academies and observe their classes. Once you find an academy that suits your needs and preferences, you can sign up for a membership and start your training. Our academy offers 3 beginner classes for just $19.99 and you can use those traiing days up within 1 week.   • What should I wear to my first day to class?

    For your first few classes, comfortable workout clothes like a T-shirt and sweatpants or shorts are appropriate. Once you decide to commit to a specific class that we offer, you will need to purchase the appropriate uniform and any necessary protective gear.

  • Can these classes cause injury?

    Because we place such a huge focus on safety and injury prevention, we're proud to say that injuries are very few and far between with our program. In fact, because brazilian jiu jitsu and martial arts gets you in great shape, and makes you strong and flexible, people often see LESS injuries in their lives.

  • What age is appropriate to start kids mixed martial arts training?

    Kids mixed martial arts training can begin at a young age, with some programs designed for children as young as 4 or 5 years old. Our school offers age-appropriate classes for kids, teens, and adults to ensure everyone has the opportunity to learn and grow.
